New car

We finally said goodbye to my trusted old Corsa and replaced it with an Audi A3.

I've had that Corsa for 15 years. It's never let me down. Only twice have I had to pull over and sort it out - and both of those were to replace the tyre. Never did I have any issues with the engine, or any proper breakdowns. But, I knew it wouldn't pass its next MOT and there's only so long you can keep the same car.

So, at the weekend after going back and forth on a decision - and playing two dealers off against each other - we finally collected a new Audi A3. I say 'new' but it is a year old (who buys a new car?) and is an absolute dream. It drives beautifully, has all the best gadgets - including wing mirrors that automatically fold in - and best of all the car tax is only £20 for a whole year!

I'll miss my Corsa, but I think I'll get over it.
